local food stores

black pearl epicure
I go here to buy Callebaut chocolate and for brilliant cooking classes and food trivia nights.  A big selection of cheeses, olive oils, jars of goodies and French butter.

global fine food deli
An Ashgrove institution.  The place to go to get lovely ham sliced off the bone to order.  The good coffee is just as popular.

executive chef
Cake tins, rolling pins, terrine molds, platters, cookbooks, Madeline trays….etc.  They even do cooking classes.  I had my first cooking class here – brilliant.

the cooking company
Everytime I head up the coast I have to pop in here.  I always come across something special that I haven’t seen anywhere else.  Their deli next door does good coffee too.

tognini’s
A lovely little deli, providore and cafe.  Their coffee at Milton helps me get through the mid-week ballet run plus their website has a wonderful collection of recipes.

rosalie gourmet market
There is a kids table with toys which makes shopping here so much easier.  This is where I buy foodie gifts, olive oil, cheeses and my favourite almond croissant in Brisbane.

jocelyn’s provisions
Beautiful cakes, tarts, pies, biscuits, jams and relishes.

cake & icing centre
Hire cake tins here or buy cake tins and all cake related goodies eg decorations, cake boards, cellophane bags for homemade food gifts.

taste
Two levels of cookware, bakeware and servingware. They offer cooking classes and a cooking club. Friendly staff.
