I don’t know anyone, to my knowledge, who doesn’t like Sticky Date Pudding. My eldest son use to think it was called ‘Sticky Tape Pudding”. Sweetheart.
I have tried a few recipes and all have been successful. But I still wanted to give this Bill Granger recipe a go because I like the idea of the pudding being a cake that you slice into wedges. Not sure why that appeals to me seeing it is essentially a pudding baked in a cake tin. I guess there is something rather special about a cake that has butterscotch sauce poured over the top and a scoop of ice-cream on the side.
So if you want a bit of a twist on ye olde SDP then you can find the recipe here.
