Brown Sugar Cookies

A really speedy recipe that is very satisfying. No mixmaster needed. I’ve seen a few recipes that are similar. This is a combination which is super simple.

brown sugar cookies

1 cup self-raising flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
pinch of salt
1/4 cup melted butter
1 egg, whisked lightly
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven 10 180 degrees C. Line a baking tray.

Mix all ingredients together until smooth. Roll tablespoons of mixture in your hand and place on tray. Allow room for the tray for the cookies to spread out.

Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown. Cool on tray for 5 minutes.

Love it Nat! Quick and easy – think even I could do this!!! X

  2. Made these cookies today – super easy and delicious! I only made the one batch of a dozen cookies, but I think it would be easy to double or triple if you need more.

I have a very similar recipe, given to me by my aunt. It also includes a cup of sultanas…although on occasion I substitute with chocolate chips, chopped hazelnuts, etc. Yum!
